Version 1.0 — 12 September 2026

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Padgrad Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17365449 and registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU ("Padgrad", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using padgrad.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

1. What the Service is

1.1 Padgrad is a careers platform for graduates and students. It provides:

  • Job listings collected from third-party sources and posted by employers;
  • Careers tools, including CV building, CV checking, cover letter generation, job description decoding, interview practice and career quizzes;
  • Application tracking, including a record of applications and rejection outcomes you choose to log;
  • AI-assisted features (see clause 7 and our AI Transparency Notice).

1.2 We are not an employment agency or an employment business. We advertise roles and provide tools. We do not introduce or supply work-seekers to hirers and we do not charge you for finding you work. Your relationship, if any, is with the employer.

1.3 We do not give immigration, visa, legal, tax or financial advice and we cannot do so lawfully. We will not answer questions about visas, sponsorship or right to work — see clauses 7.5 and 15.

1.4 We may add, change or withdraw features. We will not change these Terms retrospectively except as permitted by clause 13.

2. Eligibility and your account

2.1 You must be 18 or over to create an account. By registering you confirm you are 18 or over.

2.2 You must give accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@padgrad.com if you think someone else has access.

2.3 One account per person. We may suspend or close accounts used in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Job listings and third-party content

3.1 Listings come from (a) employers and (b) third-party sources we collect from. We take reasonable care to collect, present and refresh listings accurately and promptly, but:

  • the employer is responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and completeness of its own advert;
  • a listing may be filled, withdrawn or amended without notice;
  • salary ranges and "estimated" figures are indicative only.

3.2 We do not guarantee that any listing is still open, accurate, or that you will be shortlisted, interviewed or hired. We do not guarantee interviews or job offers.

3.3 Applications are made to the employer (usually on the employer's own website or system). We are not a party to your application and we have no control over the employer's decisions or their handling of your data. If you apply on an employer's site, that employer's privacy notice applies.

3.4 If you believe a listing is fake, discriminatory, unlawful, misleading or a scam, report it to legal@padgrad.com. We will review and remove listings that breach our policies.

3.5 Third-party names, logos and marks shown on the Service belong to their owners and are used to identify the employer or source of a genuine listing. Their use does not imply any partnership, endorsement or affiliation with Padgrad unless we say so expressly on a partner page.

4. Free features, credits and payment

4.1 Some features are free. Others require credits, which you buy from us. Current prices, what each credit unlocks, and any credit validity period are shown on our pricing page before you buy, inclusive of VAT where applicable.

4.2 Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4.3 Credits are a prepaid entitlement to use features. They are not money, are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts or users.

4.4 Where a feature fails to work because of a fault on our side, we will re-credit the credit or refund it. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4.5 Referral rewards. If you share a referral link, you may earn credits when someone you referred signs up in accordance with the rules shown in the product. Rewards are credit only, have no cash value, and may be reversed if they were obtained by abuse (fake accounts, self-referral, spam). We may change or end the referral programme at any time, but rewards already earned and confirmed will be honoured.

5. Cancellation and refunds

5.1 Consumers have a 14-day right to cancel distance contracts. How that applies to instant digital supply, and the honest mechanics of it, are set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5.2 In summary: because credits and AI features are supplied immediately, we ask you at the point of purchase to (a) consent to immediate supply and (b) acknowledge that you lose the 14-day cancellation right once supply begins. We record that consent. Where you have not given it, your cancellation right is unaffected.

5.3 A model cancellation form is included at the end of these Terms (Annex A) and in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Your content

6.1 "Your Content" means anything you upload, enter, generate or post — including your profile, CV, cover letters, application records and any review you write.

6.2 You keep ownership of Your Content. You are responsible for it and you confirm you have the right to upload it (for example, that your CV is your own information and contains nothing you are not entitled to share).

6.3 You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to store, copy, host, transmit, display, reformat, and (where you have opted in to emails) send Your Content to you as part of the Service. This licence is only for operating, improving and promoting the Service, and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups and records we are required to keep.

6.4 Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, confidential to a third party, or that contains someone else's personal data without their consent. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

6.5 Reviews and experiences you post about employers must be honest and based on your own experience. We may remove content that breaches our policies, that we are notified is defamatory or unlawful, or that we are legally required to remove. We do not verify the truth of user reviews and they are the views of their author, not ours.

7. AI-assisted features

7.1 Some features use third-party artificial intelligence models. Our AI Transparency Notice explains what is used, what data is sent, and the limitations.

7.2 AI output is a draft, not a fact. CV checks, generated cover letters, interview feedback and any score, match or forecast are machine-generated estimates. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic or wrong. You must review, check and edit anything before you use or send it. Never send an AI-generated document without reading it.

7.3 We do not guarantee any outcome from any AI feature — not an interview, not an offer, not an improved response rate. Any "predictive" or "match" score is an indication only and must not be relied on as a decision-maker.

7.4 We take reasonable care in how we configure and test these features, but AI output is non-deterministic: the same input may produce different output on different occasions.

7.5 Prohibited use of AI features. You must not use our AI features to:

  • obtain advice on visas, immigration status, sponsorship or right to work (we do not provide it, and the models are not a substitute for an OISC-regulated adviser or your university's international student adviser);
  • generate content that is unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, harassing or misleading;
  • make automated decisions about other people, including recruitment decisions about candidates.

7.6 Where a score or assessment affects you and you want it reviewed by a human, contact support@padgrad.com. We will explain what was involved and provide human review on request.

8. Our intellectual property

8.1 The Service, our software, our brand, our content (other than Your Content and third-party content), and our blog articles are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and database rights. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial job search. You may not copy, scrape, extract, republish, resell or systematically download our listings, our database or our content, or use automated tools to do so, without our written permission.

8.2 Our name and logos are our trade marks. Third-party names, logos and marks remain the property of their owners.

9. Availability, changes and support

9.1 We aim to keep the Service available but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may suspend access for maintenance, security or upgrades.

9.2 If we make a significant change to a paid feature, we will tell you before it takes effect. If you are not happy, you may cancel the affected entitlement and receive a proportionate refund of unused credits.

9.3 Support is at support@padgrad.com. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

10. Our liability to you

10.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including the right that services are performed with reasonable care and skill and that digital content is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described), and for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of reputation, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable;
  • our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) £100;
  • we are not liable for the acts or omissions of employers, job boards, third-party sources, third-party AI providers or other users, or for decisions those parties make about you.

10.3 Nothing in clause 10.2 limits your rights under clauses 5 and 10.1 or under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10.4 We are not responsible for any loss caused by you relying on AI-generated output, an indicative score, estimated salary data or a third-party listing instead of making your own checks — but this clause does not reduce our obligation to provide the Service with reasonable care and skill.

11. Suspension and termination

11.1 You may close your account at any time in your settings or by emailing support@padgrad.com.

11.2 We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe there is a risk to other users, to third parties or to us. Where we terminate for our own convenience, we will refund unused credits.

11.3 On termination your account is closed and Your Content is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy retention periods.

12. Reporting problems, unlawful content and defamation

12.1 Report any problem to legal@padgrad.com. Our Content, Copyright & Takedown Policy sets out how we handle copyright complaints, defamation complaints and removal requests, including response times.

12.2 If you think something on the Service is unlawful against you (for example, a defamatory statement about you or your business), tell us using the procedure in that policy. We act on valid notices.

13. Changes to these Terms

13.1 We may change these Terms where there is a valid reason — for example a change in law or regulation, a change to the Service or its features, a change of provider, or a security or technical requirement — and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or an in-product notice where the change materially affects you.

13.2 If you do not accept a material change, you may close your account and we will refund unused credits. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. We will always keep the previous version available on request.

14. Complaints and dispute resolution

14.1 Complain to complaints@padgrad.com. Our Complaints & Dispute Resolution Policy explains timescales and escalation.

14.2 Nothing in these Terms prevents you from contacting your local Trading Standards service or Citizens Advice, or from taking a claim to court.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

15.2 If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your own courts. If you are a consumer resident in an EU member state, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

16. General

16.1 If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. 16.2 We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights. You may not transfer your rights without our consent. 16.3 These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and AI Transparency Notice together form the whole agreement between us. 16.4 A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce them.
