Version 1.0 — 12 September 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how Padgrad Ltd (company number 17365449, 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU) uses cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts and similar technologies on padgrad.com and padcount.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. The categories we use

CategoryPurposeConsent required?What we use
Strictly necessaryMaking the site work: keeping you signed in, security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choices, fraud and abuse prevention, checkout integrityNo — these cannot be switched off, and we do not need consent for themSession cookie (auth_session / Lucia session cookie), CSRF/state cookies during Google sign-in, cookie-consent record, security cookies
Analytics & session recordingUnderstanding how the site is used so we can improve it: page views, click paths, aggregates, session replays and heatmapsYes — off until you opt inMicrosoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk), and related first-party events
Marketing / referral attributionKnowing that you arrived through a referral link so that referral credits are awarded correctlyNoNo cookie — referrals are attributed with a ?ref= link parameter, which is read once at registration and not stored on your device
Third-party embedded contentContent hosted by others (for example video or maps) that may set its own cookiesYes — loaded only if you opt inNone currently used. This row will list them before any are added

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not use cross-site tracking.

3. How consent works here

  • On your first visit you will see a banner with Accept all, Reject all and Manage preferences options. Reject and accept are equally prominent.
  • No non-essential cookie, script or session recorder is loaded before you choose. Clarity in particular is loaded only after an analytics opt-in.
  • Reject all must be a genuine one-click refusal, and refusing must not degrade the core service (you can still browse, register, buy credits and use features).
  • Your choice is recorded with a timestamp and version of this policy, so we can evidence it.
  • You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawal stops future collection but does not affect processing already carried out with consent.
  • We will re-ask for consent no more often than every 6 months, and whenever we add a new category of technology.

4. The technologies in detail

NameProviderTypePurposeDuration
auth_sessionPadgradNecessarySigns you in and keeps you signed in30 days, or until you sign out
google_oauth_state, google_code_verifier, google_oauth_redirectTo, google_oauth_refPadgradNecessarySecure Google sign-in and referral attribution during sign-inMinutes (session)
cookie_prefsPadgradNecessaryRemembers your cookie choices (analytics on/off, timestamp, policy version)6 months
_clck, _clskMicrosoft ClarityAnalytics (consent)Anonymous session recording, heatmaps, click analyticsUp to 12 months

Clarity is only loaded at all after you accept analytics — before that, the clarity.js script is never requested by the page.

5. Managing cookies yourself

You can control cookies through your browser settings (blocking or deleting) — see your browser's help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Samsung Internet. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and checkout.

Mobile: iOS and Android both allow app/site data limits and "do not track"-style controls.

6. More information

  • Questions: privacy@padgrad.com
  • ICO guidance on cookies and similar technologies: ico.org.uk
  • To complain about how we use cookies: ICO (UK), or your local data protection authority if you are in Kenya (ODPC), Nigeria (NDPC), Uganda (PDPO) or the EU.

7. Changes

We will update this policy and re-request consent when we add or materially change the technologies we use. Version history is kept below.
